ICE CREAM!! HOORAY!!

We are in for an EXCITING week. We are getting ready to open our class business: Heaven in the Fourth Dimension. We have been working very hard to create our products: 2 styles of hand-painted aprons and 2 flavors of ice cream - sour apple ice (pareve) and crackle barrel (dairy). Our products will be available for purchase at the Lower School Achievement Fair (this Wednesday evening - 7:00). In completing this project the students have learned how to write a formal letter, calculate cost of materials, estimate profits, design products, resolve conflicts, develop an advertising campaign, and use the computer to create personalized business cards. The students also learned how to complete a basic job application and experienced a job interview. Please come and visit our shop!

Friday is FIELD TRIP DAY!!! We are going to the Graeter's Ice Cream Factory! We will leave the school around 9:00a.m. and return to school by lunchtime. We will have a guided tour of Graeter's followed by a small ice cream feast. Please remember to bring you field trip money by THURSDAY, MAY 7. ($3.00 for the bus, NO MORE THAN $5.00 for ice cream treats) We will be taking the Bexley Beat bus - which has just enough seats for our class. Parent chaperones will have to take their own cars. Either meet us at school at 9:00 a.m. and follow the bus - or meet us at Graeter's on Bethel Road by 9:45 a.m. (Our tour is at 10:00 a.m.)
