TUESDAY,WEDNESDAY,THURSDAY, FRIDAY...SUMMER!!!

We had a FANTASTIC field trip! Thank you very much, Mr. and Mrs. Binsky, for making it all happen. Our next big classroom event will be WEDNESDAY: State Representative Nancy Garland will be a guest speaker in our classroom. THURSDAY is the great big classroom clean-up. Please make sure your child brings a bag so that he/she can take home all of his/her "stuff." FRIDAY is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. We will have our class party, an end of the year assembly, and a NOON DISMISSAL.

In other news... There is a particularly nasty flu virus attacking CTA. Many of our students are out sick. Please, if your child does not feel well, has a fever, is coughing, sneezing, is nauseous, or just generally feeling "icky", please keep him/her home. We want everyone to be and stay healthy.

The Big 10

We have 10 more days of school - all of which will be jam-packed with great learning experiences. We will begin a short study of geometry. We will continue to study the basic properties of matter, particles of matter, elements, and physical and chemical changes in matter. We will focus on Ohio's history from WWI-the present day, and learn about the variety of cultural, religious, and ethnic groups in Ohio. we will explore poetry. We will have lots of hands-on learning activities and experiments. We will have a very small amount of homework. In fact, the only homework assignments will be for students to complete any unfinished classwork from that day.

We will have a massive classroom clean-up next Thursday. Please make sure that your child brings a large, empty bookbag to school on that day. We will be cleaning out desks, lockers, and classroom shelves. Your child will be sent home with all of his/her "stuff". Any items left in the classroom after 12:00 on Friday will be thrown away. Next Friday is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! We will have a class party that morning....more details will be available soon.
