October 29-November2

This is the last week of the first quarter! Wow, time is really flying by. We have some neat things to look forward to.

THURSDAY is our field trip to the Columbus Museum of Art. Please contact Ms. Neiwerth for more information.

Homework assignments:

Spelling and vocabulary units were assigned Monday and are due Friday. The quizzes will be Friday. There will be reading assignments in NIGHT OF THE TWISTERS on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with corresponding reading response journal assignments. There will be math review pages assigned on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. No homework is assigned for Wednesday night.

The Roald Dahl projects look GREAT!

Week of October 22-26, 2007

This is a very busy week! We are starting a new book in reading class, have quizzes in math, social studies, and spelling/vocabulary, and are taking our first field trip.

Our field trip is on Wednesday, Oct. 24. We are going to see the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. This field trip is a special gift - donated to the 3rd and 4th grade students by Ms. Helen Nutis. We will be leaving school at 9:45 and will return to school by lunchtime. Students should wear their CTA polo shirts for this (and all) field trips.

Homework: THE READING PROJECT IS DUE ON MONDAY, OCT. 29!!

Monday: Spelling/Vocabulary: Unit 5 - due Friday, Quizzes are Friday
Math: review worksheet
Social Studies: study for Rivers Quiz - Quiz is Tuesday

Tuesday: Spelling/Vocab Unit 5 due Friday, Quizzes Friday
Reading: pg 17-26, Night of the Twisters, reading log (due Thursday)

Wednesday: Spelling/Vocabulary Unit 5 due Friday - Quizzes Friday
