Erev Succot

Tada! The blog for this week is short and sweet. The homework for tonight is to complete the science worksheet and to complete the math worksheet. There will be no Friday Folders or newsletters this week - expect a special double-issue next Thursday. Next week, during Succot, there will be no homework! Hooray! I hope that you had a wonderful Rosh Hashannah. We have quite a busy week. We are learning about the water cycle and how it affects weather, have begun math chapter 3, are continuing our analysis of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, are studying the unit 2 words in the orange vocabulary books, and are beginning to study the geography of Ohio. Here is the projected homework schedule for the week:

Mon: Write each spelling/vocab word twice in cursive. Study the words.
Complete math reteach pg. 3.1.

Tues.: Complete vocab. workbook pgs. 22-23. Study words.
Complete math reteach pg. 3.2

Wed.: Write a sentence for each vocab. word. Study words.
Complete math reteach pg. 3.3

Thurs. Study spelling/vocab. words for test.
Complete math reteach 3.4.



Fifth Grade:

Reading group:

Sign of the Beaver questions ch.13-15 due TUES.

The Last Week of the Year...

Here we are - the last week of 5769 - and it will be a busy one. We are starting the vocabulary book. Our spelling and vocabulary words for the week will be the words for unit 1. The spelling/vocabulary tests will be given on Friday. We will also have the chapter 2 math test on Friday. We will have a science quiz on Tuesday. The 5th grade math group will have their chapter 2 math test on Thursday. IF YOUR CHILD WILL BE ABSENT ON FRIDAY DUE TO PLANNED FAMILY TRAVEL/VISITING FOR YOM TOV, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thank you.

This is a shorter, but no less busy week. We are continuing to read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, are taking the Chapter 1 Math test, completing a science experiment, and learning about maps. Here is the projected homework schedule for the week:
