We had a FANTASTIC field trip! Thank you very much, Mr. and Mrs. Binsky, for making it all happen. Our next big classroom event will be WEDNESDAY: State Representative Nancy Garland will be a guest speaker in our classroom. THURSDAY is the great big classroom clean-up. Please make sure your child brings a bag so that he/she can take home all of his/her "stuff." FRIDAY is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. We will have our class party, an end of the year assembly, and a NOON DISMISSAL.
In other news... There is a particularly nasty flu virus attacking CTA. Many of our students are out sick. Please, if your child does not feel well, has a fever, is coughing, sneezing, is nauseous, or just generally feeling "icky", please keep him/her home. We want everyone to be and stay healthy.

ICE CREAM!! HOORAY!!
We are in for an EXCITING week. We are getting ready to open our class business: Heaven in the Fourth Dimension. We have been working very hard to create our products: 2 styles of hand-painted aprons and 2 flavors of ice cream - sour apple ice (pareve) and crackle barrel (dairy). Our products will be available for purchase at the Lower School Achievement Fair (this Wednesday evening - 7:00). In completing this project the students have learned how to write a formal letter, calculate cost of materials, estimate profits, design products, resolve conflicts, develop an advertising campaign, and use the computer to create personalized business cards. The students also learned how to complete a basic job application and experienced a job interview. Please come and visit our shop!
